Last week we thought about how to keep safe on the roads as we walked to Southwark Cathedral. Years 5 and 6 walked with Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, reminding them how to keep safe as they crossed the roads. We are very grateful to the traffic wardens who accompanied us. Here are some facts from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents:
■ Most road accidents happen in daylight.
■ The most dangerous hours on the roads are 3.00pm to 6.00pm and 7.00am to 9.00am.
As part of Road Safety Awareness Week each child has been given a reflector and pupils in the Foundation Stage have been given an activity pack courtesy of The Children’s Traffic Club

How do these photos show that we are being safe on the roads?
