Cathedral Primary School

We are a Church of England Primary School in the diocese of Southwark. Please browse the website to discover the recent achievements, future events and for a flavour of what pupils of this school are currently involved in.

This website is embedded in the teaching and learning we do in school and additional content is being added every week. Teachers and pupils alike will have the opportunity to publish posts and pages, and parents and friends of the school are encouraged to leave comments.

Recent Updates

The results for the National KS2 tests, which were taken earlier this year, were published in December 2015 for all primary schools in the country. The average grade achieved by Cathedral School pupils in the examinations (Maths, Writing, Reading and Grammar) was the highest in the borough. This news is excellent for the school and was on the back of being included in the Sunday Times ‘Top 100 Schools’ report published in November and which used 2014’s results. Find out more.
We were proud to celebrate our successful Eco-Schools Green Flag reaccreditation recently. Congratulations to the whole school in making sure everyone at Cathedral School follows the Eco Code. The award is the highest award given out by the Eco-Schools organisation and recognises our outstanding commitment to the environment . Only 3% of schools in London have Green Flag status.
Cathedral School has been awarded the Primary Geography Quality Mark by the Geographical Association for the second time. This re-accreditation recognises the outstanding opportunities children have to learn about aspects of geography at Cathedral School.
And find out what happened when our children made the news and joined the Prime Minister at Downing St.
