Symmetry in Class 1!

This week in Class 1 we have explored symmetry. We looked at symmetrical and asymmetrical patterns and shapes. Class 1 worked brilliantly at creating their own symmetrical patterns using counters, cubes, peg boards and we even explored symmetry outside the classroom! We looked at the letters in our names and discussed whether they were symmetrical or not by finding the line of symmetry.

How many letters in your name are symmetrical?

Take a look at some pictures from our maths lessons this week!
