Stars of the Week: Kemena and Polina
We have been practising adding and subtracting with 2-digit numbers this week. Kemena and Polina have made a great start to the term by applying themselves to the challenge and thinking carefully through each step. Well done!

Class 2 have been working hard this week creating Christmas gifts for their families, including pop-up cards, salt-dough decorations and these wonderful Christmassy acrostic poems! We hope you enjoy them!
Stars of the Week: Hazel and Martha
This term in DT, Class 2 have been designing playgrounds and making their own models out of a variety of materials. Martha and Hazel both thought really carefully about how to construct their models to make them stable and included lots of creative ideas. Well done!
Stars of the week: All of Class 2.
Well done class 2 for your excellent singing in the cathedral yesterday! It was class 2’s first time performing as part of the nativity musical and they sang beautifully.
Stars of the Week: Alpha and Joni
This term in geography, class 2 have been learning about the location and climates of the seven continents of the world. Joni and Alpha both did an excellent job of comparing the landscape and climate of Lesotho in Southern Africa to that of Iceland in Europe. They included lots of specific geographical vocabulary in their work.

Stars of the Week: Amelia and Kirstin
At the CLC, Class 2 used Google Earth to discover landmarks around London, then learnt how to take a screenshot to include their favourite places in a Comic Life presentation.

Stars of the Week: Noella and Rory
During Spanish Day, Class 2 learnt to count to ten and worked out some simple sums in Spanish. Then we learnt some basic greetings. After enjoying a Spanish-themed lunch, we created some art inspired by Joan Miro and learnt some Spanish songs.
Well done to Noella and Rory whose artwork was particularly detailed and thoughtful, including lots of the shapes and patterns that Miro enjoyed using.
Next week we will be learning: to use apostrophes for contraction in English, and to find totals of money in maths.
