This week in PE we have been putting together  our skills from the half-term to do great partner work and competitions. We did some impressive dribbling, bounce passes, chest passes and thought about ball control.

In English we have been writing space diaries. Stars of the Week: Emma and Ella

We have had a very exciting week in Year 2. At the beginning of the week we released our butterflies as they have now fully grown and were ready to explore the world.

Stars of the week: Micah & Christine

We have had another successful week in Class 2. We made perseverance posters in PSHE, which we will put on display and use to help motivate us across the year when we need a boost or a push of self-belief. The class came up with their own inspirational quote and they showed great creative flare when using the water colour paints to create their backgrounds. Each poster is so unique and special – well done Class 2!

Our science topic this half-term is Animals (including humans) and this week we started observations of our new class animal…caterpillars! Year 2 have had a very positive start to the year. They have all tried their best in our lessons and have even started to practise joining their letters. Keep it up Year 2!

Summer 2- Week 7

Stars of the Week- All of Class 2!

What a fantastic year Class 2 have had. Full of wonderful learning opportunities and enriching experiences. All the adults are so proud of what you have achieved and we know you will thrive as you move up to Key Stage 2. Well done, Class 2. Have a super summer holiday!

Summer 2- Week 6

Stars of the Week- Nathan I and Orla

We have had an exciting time in Class 2 this week, with the Stomp dance workshop and the Summer Fair happening, as well as lots of wonderful learning opportunities. It was great to see all the children getting involved with the dance and demonstrating their teamwork skills when asked to choreograph some of their own dance moves. Everyone enjoyed the summer fair and cheered each other on in the games. The children have also enjoyed demonstrating their knowledge of plants and computing, when completing a Science quiz about plants on the ipads this week. Well done Class 2
