Riddle me this…

In Class 3 we have been looking at riddles in different stories, such as The Hobbit. We have also created our own riddles. This week, we read lots of riddles and chose our favourite one. We then learnt our favourite riddle off by heart and performed it to the class…Miss Murray was rather impressed we had learnt them in just one lesson…

Sandwich-making Day!

The day finally arrived when we could make the sandwiches we have designed in D.T.

We all made a design of our sandwich, then we made it following our instructions.

After we had made our sandwiches, then came the best part, eating them! We had a quarter of our own and then tried three other people’s sandwich to complete an evaluation on which was best and why. We also thought of next steps for each person. Here are some photographs of our afternoon…see if you can spot a special guest who came to see what we had been up to!

The British Museum- round 2!

Earlier this month we visited the British Museum for a second time, this time to see the Roman Britain exhibits. Due to strike action, we weren’t sure if we would be able to get to see what we wanted to, but a manager came and opened the gallery just for us! We had a private showing to complete our activities in…what lucky children. Here are some photographs we took…

Food tasting fun!

Recently Class 3 had our food tasting session in D.T. in preparation for designing and making our own sandwiches. We were very cross curricular and so used our Mathis knowledge to create tally charts and bar graphs to show our bread, spread and filling preferences, and we also used our new class iPad to take pictures of us hard at work.
