Thank you to Sean and Festus for teaching Year 3 how to be safe cyclists on the roads. Year 3 had a wonderful time learning about bicycle safety, importantly, putting themselves in the best position to avoid any road danger.

Year 3 learnt a tricky body percussion round to perform in the Singing Celebration on Sing Up day. They had to concentrate hard to keep in time, remember what was coming next and keep to their own part. You rose to the challenge Year 3!

Well done to Year 3, who celebrated World Book Day wearing fantastic book character costumes. Thank you to all the children who put a lot of effort into creating their own costumes.

Some alarming events have been taking place at Cathedral School this week, where it was announced that dragons had been spotted in the sky. We linked this to our Adventure Story theme in literacy and studied character descriptions in the Adventure Story Lily Dragon.

The children have created their own wonderful character profiles, inspired by World Book Day.

Well done Year 3!

To get ourselves ready for World Book Day, we ventured to the Nursery to read with the class. We had a fantastic time reading to the children and also enjoyed discussing ideas around the books.
