It is very exciting! In Class 3, we have started working with The Menier Theatre looking into themes in the production Funny Girl (which is currently on at the Menier Theatre) and working towards creating our own composition. On Monday, we discussed what makes us laugh and we explored activities to show how we work as a team on stage.
We also carefully looked at the stage set and the reason each part of the stage appears in a certain way.

The Menier Thearter stage is big
I an so excited to perform on stage! And a little bit nervous too…
I had fun working with Mollie (the director), I can’t wait until we perform on stage. I’m so excited I wish I can do it now! We also worked with olly( his name is actually Oliver), he is the music director and he taught us a new song from Mary Poppins called I love to laugh. We all loved singing with Olly and he plays the key board (not a piano) so well – like a person singing high notes medium notes and low notes and really low notes. We also played lots of games!
I liked going to the Menier Theatre because it was really fun.It may be small but it’s big to me! My favourite song was ‘I love to laugh’ because it was funny and very silly – Olly taught us and I think we might learn some more songs. Next we are working with fun Molly. Last but not least, Sam loves making up her own dances. My favourite person is Sam she is fun energetic and she loves to move around a lot I can’t wait until we go next Monday, I’m so excited.
It was fun doing the songs, because we get to do lots of laughs.

We’ve learnt 2 songs(I Love To Laugh and Pure Imagination).
I can’t believe next Tuesday we will be on the actual stage .I know it is big but it might be smaller when we are on stage.
