Class 3 rule the hall with Romans assembly!

Thank you Class 3 for the effort and hard work you put into learning your lines and the song for your assembly. The hard work paid off.

You beautifully shared with the school how the Romans brought Christianity to Britain and also how they have influenced so many aspects of our lives.

You also explained about exciting Class 3 events in newspaper reports – showing off your knowledge of features of newspaper reports.

Well done. I knew you would shine brightly up there!

I loved our assembly. It was all about the Romans. My line was:There were about 30 Legions in the Roman army. Each Legion had between 4,000 to 6,000 soldiers, called Legionaries. Can you believe it! Best assembly ever!

It was wonderful learning all our lines off by heart! Everyone was spectacular, even the audience was awesome at answering the hard questions such as: what do you know about Roman times?
Well done audience and thank you! 😉 🙂

I loved the assembly so much! Everybody liked it because we all put so much effort into learning our lines and the song. It was all about the Romans and the things we learnt about in class to do with life in the Roman times. Did you know that the Romans all had to wear sandals with iron studs on the leather soles? That meant that when they walked the iron studs created friction on the roads. The Romans brought various different things to Britain, such as Christianity and Roads. The Roman sandals were made out of flexible leather, that made it easier and more comfortable to walk far. In those times, the only travel option was to walk or use a type of animal, such as a horse. If you look hard enough, on the Thames bank you could dig up some Roman coins, just as Edward had said in the assembly.  Did you know Boudicca was a brave warrior in the Roman times who had a very grave history. The Romans had to be courageous whilst they were fighting as well as when they were not fighting. Did you hear our song about being courageous? The Roman Empire invaded a lot of the world really quickly even though they started in a little country called Rome. What would you feel like if you were controlled by someone who fought against others and killed many other people?
