Over the next few weeks will be exploring different poems. We are thinking about different ways of performing poems. Here are some of us reading a poem using emphasis, expression and actions.

Hampton Court Palace!

Today we went to Hampton Court Palace.
Here are some of the things we saw/smelt/did.

In Henry VIII’s kitchen we were able to see, smell and feel different herbs and vegetables that Henry would have eaten.

We saw some of the plates that would have been used to serve Henry’s food.

We met Catherine Parr (AKA Lady Latimer). She told us how to greet Henry VIII if we saw him.

We explored a little bit of the vast grounds at Hampton Court Palace. Including visiting this lake!

We met this Soldier. He told us that if people commit treason then they must be beheaded!

We found out about the different explorers of the Tudor Times. What did they bring back for the Queen?
