This term we are reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a classic from a fantastic author. Although we have only just started it, we are already really enjoying it, especially all the characters and the marvelous sweets!
We recently did some work on the characters, describing and hot seating (where we took on the role of acting and answering questions as one of the characters).
Since we enjoyed it so much, we are going to be posting our questions here and also answering them in role as well!

 

This half term, our science topic is habitats. Therefore we thought it would be a great opportunity to watch a real life habitat first hand! We have recently set up our own ant farm in class 4 and are super excited to watch them!

They’ve recently been introduced to their new home and are slowly making it their own. They’ve begun to tunnel down and are working non stop!

We will keep you all updated with how they are getting on! For now, here’s a ‘before’ picture to start you off. We’ve left them with banana , jam and water to keep them nourished over the weekend.

What interests you the most about ants?

 

Class 4 recently led the Easter Praise at Southwark Cathedral. After weeks of rehearsing and singing we were all anxious and excited to perform in front of our teachers, peers and parents.

The cathedral is such a beautiful building, steeped with history so we felt so privileged to be performing our Easter production there.
