DT Week

This week was DT week at Cathedral School. We were set the challenge of designing and creating a building using art straws. We had to carefully plan our design before we built it. We added more art straws to the skeletons of our buildings to make them even stronger and joined them using pva glue.

We also designed and built a building as a class which was then printed on a 3D printer! It was amazing to watch this machine create our design right before our eyes!

What did you enjoy about DT week?

I loved DT week this year. I liked how mine was the only building designed like a house from the old days. I thought Lucas’s model was really imaginative and I really liked everyone else’s as well. I can not wait till next DT week.

I enjoyed glueing the art straws together, but it took a while for the glue to dry.
