Class 4 are inspired by Flotsam

A bright, science-minded boy goes to the beach equipped to collect and examine flotsam—anything floating that has been washed ashore. Bottles, lost toys, small objects of every description are among his usual finds. But there’s no way he could have prepared for one particular discovery: a barnacle-encrusted underwater camera, with its own secrets to share . . . and to keep.

Class 4 have been exploring Flotsam by David Weisner. After creating our own pictures taken on the camera, we threw the camera back into the water and described the journey of the camera. We included ambitious adjectives, adverbs and exciting punctuation to support our journey descriptions.

We hope you enjoy our Flotsam displays.

Class 4 shine at the Easter Cathedral Service

Class 4, your Easter service at Southwark Cathedral was absolutely incredible. Throughout all the rehearsals you listened to the guidance carefully and were so enthusiastic. This was very clear during the Easter service where you told the Easter story beautifully. Every word could be heard and every face could be seen! Thank you and a huge well done from Miss Hatherley and Margaret.

We knew you’d shine like superstars. We couldn’t be any prouder of you.
