Autumn 1 Week 3

Stars of the Week: Margot and Alphege.

In History this week, Class 4 have been looking at the raid of Lindisfarne inĀ 793AD. The children discussed why monasteries were so vulnerable to Viking raids and compared the Viking’s and the Monk’s perspective on the raid. The children built on their work from the previous week to write about the Viking’s emotions as they were planning a surprise attack on the Holy Island.

For Science, Class 4 have been looking at the organs within the digestive system. They discussed the functions of each organ and how important they are breaking down the food and providing us with energy to complete our daily tasks.
