I once taught a pupil who told me that they recited the times tables every night as they were trying to get to sleep. They told me that it helped them improve their maths levels whilst making them go to sleep faster! Anyway, they ended up getting a Level 5 in their SATs test so it must have worked!

I have improved my work this week by making sure that my work is at the highest standard, by trusting in myself to produce the best work possible, and by making sure I have used all facts from past lessons, to help me understand a question if I have no idea of the answer, to help a friend with work, or any other parts of maths that I do not understand.

How I learnt from the Mummy game:

I got the answers right because I looked at the instructions and I looked at the examples and I thought about the answer and that is how I got the answer right.

I think that maths helps you with so many things in life. Here are some examples:
Jobs-  Designer’s need to measure cloths and add them up, Scientist’s need to measure things and see if there’s to much or to less, and there are many more.
    College/Uni-  Grades, jobs…

Maths is a way to make successful in life. It is something that is important when learning. Every resources leads up to maths maybe in Literacy you need a certain amount of lines so you “count” them. In science you might be focusing on temperate you might “estimate” so maths can develop our learning in different ways.

Maths helps you to do many things in life. One of the most important things are jobs. if you couldn’t do maths then you couldn’t work in a shop, do science, be a nurse/doctor, be an architect, be an engineer or be a teacher.

I agree, Faber, however, it is also useful to recite your times tables, or addition and subtraction mentally, and you will then be able to get a level 5 in maths!
