Class 5 learnt a great deal about Design Technology during D.T. Week 2014. Their design brief was to make a diorama themed on the Solar System and to use recycled goods in their creation. They had so much fun researching how to make a diorama, designing and creating their model using various tools and materials and discussing and evaluating their creation as they were making it. Everyone agreed that making dioramas is a fun way to improve their Design Technology skills and can’t wait for their next D.T. project!

I had a fabulous time making my DT project.
Thank you Mr Antcliffe for letting us do the Solar System for D.T. week – it was so much fun.

You’re welcome Alexus, I’m really glad that you enjoyed yourself whilst making your diorama.
Thank you for letting us contribute by doing science dioramas for DT Week. It was really fun!
Thank you to all the teachers in our school who gave us the privilege of organising D.T. week. I really enjoyed making my Solar System diorama. I used a few polystyrene balls to make some planets and a comet. Thank you for D.T. week to all of the teachers, and well done to all of the students who displayed their fantastic D.T. skills.
I loved doing my DT project too, but what I liked best is that it linked to our science topic, the Solar System. It also meant that we used our knowledge of Science whilst being creative!
Thank you Mr Antcliffe! I really enjoyed helping Jeffrey and I learnt that when you plan you think it is easy but when you do the model itself it’s even harder than what it looks like in the plan. When I looked at everyone’s project I was really jealous but I knew when me and Jeffrey finished our project it would look amazing – as it did. I am really glad to be in this class because I always have a great experience of the new things that lay ahead of me.
I like your Solar System dioramas because they look really good! Well done.
