Autumn Week 3 – Workhouses, undertaker or chimney sweep?

This week in Year 5, we have been reading Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. We began by writing some setting descriptions about what it would be like to live in a workhouse.

We then discussed whether we would prefer to become an undertaker or a chimney sweep in Victorian Britain. Wonderful writing year 5!
