Year 5 stars of the week: Whitney and Livia

This half term in Science, we are learning about forces. This week we looked at the forces ‘upthrust’ and ‘gravity’. We conducted an experiment to see whether the surface area of an object would affect the time taken for an object to fall.

We found out that the larger the surface area of an object, the slower it will fall to the ground because there is more surface area for upthrust and gravity to act upon.
