Aeroball was so much fun! The point of the game is to score as many baskets as you can. It was probably my favourite activity along with zip-wire. PGL activities were very intriguing and these once in a lifetime opportunities are amazing and you should not waste them. I hope that next year when Year 5 go to PGL that they will do the best to their heart’s extent and never stop working. As long as you do everything right, you will enjoy everything that hits you!

Thank you to Miss Fullana, Miss Hatherley and Janet for taking us to PGL. I had a really fun time, my favourite activity was abseiling because when you got to the bottom you had to shout, ‘Get back to work!’ I was really happy with who was in my room too, A.K.A, Max, Thomas, Jeffrey and me. Also I faced a fear of jumping from up high, that activity was trampeez, but I just did it and I’m really proud of that. The variety of food was amazing! I enjoyed every meal. Finally I would like to say a big thank you again to our fantastic teachers for giving up five days of their time taking us to PGL….it’s an experience I will never forget.

I loved PGL! My favourite daytime activity was giant swing, once you pulled the cord, you shot down like a swing but 100 times faster. It was so much better than a normal swing, instead of sitting on a seat you were connected to a metal bar, and you thought you were going to fall. The tension was insane! The second go felt a lot better, as you knew the feeling that was coming and you knew that you weren’t going to fall. Thank you Miss Fullana, Janet and Miss Hatherely for organising this trip!

I really enjoyed PGL and had so much fun with my class, all of the activities required team-work and our class was great at that. I don’t have a favorite activity but I really enjoyed canoeing and orienteering. One skill that I learnt at PGL was how to belay, (belaying is when you secure the rope that the climber is attached to) this is a really useful skill that I am glad that I learnt. PGL was a great experience and I had so much fun with all the people who came. The instructors were so kind and caring, they were funny and really put a smile on our faces after a long and tiring day. I would like to thank Miss Fullana, Janet, Miss Hatherly, Charlie (our groupie), and all of the instructors at the PGL site for making this experience a good one that will always be remembered.

PGl, Peter Gorden Laurence, is an amazing resort to stay at, there are so many thrilling activities you will love doing and want to try again. You will cherish these memories in your heart. My favorite activity was vertical challenge, a climbing wall with different stages. It was epic, secondly I loved canoeing, I did not capsize!
    Thank you Cathedral school

My favourite thing about PGL was the abseiling as it was scary at first but when I had a second go it was very fun.

Missing PGL already, it felt like another home for me because I was welcomed warmly and had my friends with me. We did a quiz and we (me, Thomas, Daniel and Ned) won by one point against Gabby, Siennna, Hawa and Destiny. On our last night, we did somthing called have a go show and my group dressed me up as mummies. The food was mouth watering and I loved the orange juice, they gave us massive selections and as me and Max were eating our yummy food we could smell the strong vinegar on Miss Fullana’s gherkins. 5 minuites later it flew of her plate, it was funny, it was day one and we already felt like home – imagine how we felt when we were leaving. I was in Miss Hattherly’s group (group 2). Jeffery was the president, reading out all the quiz answers and making sure we lined up and our group leader (Charlie)was very welcoming, all the week, he was was a brilliant group leader for us. It was a week to remember and fun Year 5 when you go to Year 6 PGL you’re going to have soo much fun!

PGL showed us how to work as a team and it grew our bonds stronger because you had to rely on your friends the majority of the time as they b-lay, or give you advise to help with your fears. I had fun climbing, b-laying, absailing and many more. PGL shows you how to work as a team but also independently. It teaches you many skills that you don’t really learn every single day unless your staying there for a week or if you work there.

P.G.L is an experience for young children to become independent. Also it is a place where children have the opportunity to get to know their class mates better, and learn to take on the world. It also helped me because I used to be scared of heights but activities like the giant swing, vertical challenge, abseiling and the zip-line helped me get over my fear, and now I feel a lot better about heights. P.G.L also helped because I got the opportunity to go in a canoe which helped with my fear of being in water.

Happy birthday to our classmate! I had the best time at PGL – it felt as if it was my birthday for the whole week! Staying in our dormitories with our friends was exciting as well because we had to work as a team to tidy our rooms and get the best marks when the “Room Inspectors” came. (Luckily for my room , the lowest mark we got was a nine out of ten.) During the activities I found out I was especially good at abseiling and rock climbing as well as putting shelters together as a team and starting up fires! My word to sum up the whole amazing experience would be sensational – BEST TIME EVER!

I really enjoyed Friday morning before we left PGL, Liddington. We went on the trapeze and did archery as well as having burgers for lunch. Our class learnt repeat songs and my favourite was ‘ Coca – Cola’. Remember to repeat after the leader.

    Coca-Cola went to town,
    Diet Pepsi shot him down,
    Dr Pepper picked him up,
    Now we all drink 7up,
    7up caught the flu,
Now we all drink Iron Bru,
Iron Bru fell down the mountain,
Now we all drink from the fountain,
    Oh no the fountain broke,
Now we all drink cherry coke,
Cherry coke got caught by Santa,
Now we all drink Orange Fanta,
Orange Fanta got in a muddle,
Now we all drink from the puddle,
Oh no the puddle dried up,
Now we drink from a plastic cup,
    Oh no the cup broke,
Now we’re back to plain old coke.

The date was 16th November 2015! The had finally come it was the day we were going to PGL. I felt over the moon, excited, nervous; words could not explain how happy I was. We were all on the coach waiting for the time to go; we were all saying  bye to our parents; until I saw a poster saying what PGL stood for we were all laughing because it said, “PUPILS GET LOST”. The coach started to move – we were on our way, we all cheered with enthusiasm they all chased after the coach. We were on our way!

I really enjoyed our PGL experience because it made a bond between our current friends and people who we do not normally hang out with. Thank you to all the instructors for not letting us give up on challenges; you might normally have loads of children that say thank you all the time but I am really grateful for making our time at PGL worthwhile .
