Sing Up Day

Cathedral School enjoyed a very musical Sing Up day this year. Every class enjoyed activities such as singing the register, singing numeracy and literacy songs, playing singing games, learning songs in different languages and adding new words and percussion to favourite songs. There was even singing in the playground as Year 3 children shared action songs they had been learning with KS1 and KS2 during playtime. The whole day was finished off with a fantastic Singing Celebration in the hall, where every class performed a song that they had been learning. It was a delight to hear such a variety of songs sung so beautifully and enthusiastically. You can hear some of the songs that were performed on the class blogs.

As an extra treat, the choir performed a concert after school. They sang songs from musicals including Oliver and the Sound of Music. Enjoy their performance below!
