Listen here to our performance of Just Take My Hand, written by members of Miss Hayfield’s family, Martin and Rosie. We were the first singers ever to perform the song which has been 20 years in the making! Martin and Rosie were very impressed with our wonderfully energetic singing.

This is wonderful. I want to laugh and cry.I want to remember the words and sing it to myself and anyone else who will listen.( Though much better when performed by this delightful young choir.)

There is a strong sense of enjoyment and confidence arising from this performance and we were very impressed to learn that the children singing covered such a young age range. Well done to all concerned.

Thank you to all the children and staff at The Cathedral Primary School who brought Rosie’s and my song to life. You sang it with such enthusiasm, zest and enjoyment. It was a real privilege to be invited to witness this first performance. And thank you too to Rosie for writing such splendid lyrics. A very clever composition that is quite unique in the way that it’s chorus emerges from the ideas of the verse fused together. Words of hope and reassurance which is what the world needs right now and the singers perform accurately and enthusiastically. Well Done!

Well …..what superb singing – well done choir (and the pianist!) and such lovely words Rosie – and too to the arranger what a great tune – I loved the duets – I will be singing ‘Hold my hand’ all day.Congratualtions Cathedral Primary School you are wonderful.
