Issue #22 ~ 05/05/17 ~ Cathedral Maths Challenge

[heading]Cathedral School Maths Challenge[/heading]

Dear Parents,

This week we are launching C.M.C - Cathedral Maths Challenge.

Every week there will be a different maths challenge in the newsletter for children to try at home. There will be challenges for children in EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Children can then bring their solutions to the challenge to school, putting them in the Maths Challenge Box in the office by Thursday lunch time. During our celebration assembly on Friday mornings, children selected from the box will be invited to talk about how they completed the problem. These answers will then be shared online, through the Maths blog.

Best wishes,

Miss Godsell
Assistant Headteacher

Governors are launching ‘Cathedral Parents’ and invite all parents to get involved.

The aim of ‘Cathedral Parents’ is to provide community spirit, whole school community events, fundraising, information events for parents and connection between parents and the school. ‘Cathedral Parents’ is a positive, collaborative, contribution to the wider school community.

Give up a little of your time, skill or know how. No contribution is too small or too great.

Come along to the first ‘Cathedral Parents’ meeting on Tuesday in the school hall at 2:30 on Tuesday 16th May. All welcome!
