Stay and Play!

In Nursery, we had a wonderful time when some of our grown-ups came to stay and play.

We made lots of Easter crafts, like Easter baskets and fantastic daffodil paintings. We had lots of fun outside too!

We hope all the parents had a great time joining in with the great learning Nursery gets up to, and we hope you’ll come back again soon!

Maths Day

We had a wonderful time on maths day, exploring number, shape and space in lots of different ways.

Take a look at how we investigated maths through art, and used our problem-solving skills to build with the stacking cups.

We made some fantastic repeating patterns using all kinds of minibeasts!

Outside, we made our own maths games using the number puzzle, and made a house with Poddely, exploring the properties of squares, triangles and rectangles.

We especially enjoyed learning how to be robots! When we are robots, we only understand a few instructions – forwards, backwards, sideways, turn around, and different numbers.

Take a look at the video to see some of us in action.

Spring Assembly

Here is an excerpt from our class assembly.
We hope you enjoy our artwork and our beautiful singing.
Nursery made up the song themselves, what talented musicians!

Please also watch our daffodil rhyme below, shown on the big screen during our assembly!

Book Week!

In Nursery, we had a very busy book week. We have been telling our own stories and acting them out, and voting for our favourite books at story time.

On Friday, we were very lucky to have lots of wonderful visitors. Thank you to all the parents who came to read with us, we all really enjoyed sharing stories with you.

Class 3 came to visit us too. They helped us act out some of our stories that we’d been working on this week. We had the dramatic tale of the Gruffalo who ate his telly, by Cheri’ane, and a fantastic retelling of Red Riding Hood by Teddy. Well done you two!

And a final thank you to Mrs Scott who paid a special visit to read us. What a lot of stories in one day!

We had a great time dressed up as our favourite book characters. Have a look at the photos and see how many characters you can spot.
