Our eggs have hatched!

Our eggs have hatched and it turns out we weren’t incubating crocodiles, dragons or dinosaurs!

We now have two ducklings, who Nursery have named Polly and Rosie. They will be staying with us for the next few days.

Soon they will be too big for the brooder so they will go home to live on the farm.

Take a look at our new friends in action!

Colour Mixing

We have been thinking about colour mixing, and used layers of cellophane to make multicoloured flowers while asking some interesting questions about how colour mixing works.

Book Day

For Book Day, Nursery really enjoyed sharing stories with Class Three, and had a fantastic time dressing up as characters from favourite books! See if you can spot which stories these characters are from.

Discovering dragons!

Nursery have really enjoyed Book Week and have worked very hard on the “Dragons” theme!

We read the beginning of The Egg by M. P. Robertson and found out about a boy who needs to look after a baby dragon who needs a mother. We then wrote down all our ideas about what dragons need to learn from their mothers. Have a look at our great writing:

We then put these ideas into practise, looking after our own sock dragons that took lots of concentration to sew together!

Here is what we know about dragons now Book Week is over:
