Sports Week – The Marlborough

Nursery and Reception teamed up this morning to finish sports week at the Marlborough playground. The children all showed great sportsmanship and teamwork, really trying their best and making new friends!

Here are some photos, and don’t forget to check the Reception Blog for more.

Sports Day Stay and Play

We spent the Stay and Play honing our skills in football, hurdles, basketball, javelin, hula, egg and spoon races, obstacle courses, skittles and more! When we needed a break, we relaxed in the shade with stories, construction and drawing. To finish a great session, everyone joined in with the parachute games.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Stay and Play this week, it was very memorable and a fantastic experience for everyone in the nursery.

Leave a comment to let us know about your favourite sports and your memories of Sports Week this year!

Pond Life

We went to visit the pond in Redcross Gardens as it is brimming with life! We saw many newts, tadpoles, water boatmen and dragonflies, and explored the different plants in the garden. Everybody had a lot to say about what they discovered!

Castles!

Miss Dace and Debbie asked Nursery what they would like to learn about next, and they chose castles! Our key book for this topic will be ‘Castles’ by Colin Thompson.

We have made a fairy tale castle in class, and spent the week making royal portraits in gilded frames and adding up our treasure in maths. Here are some pictures to show how we are enjoying our new topic so far:
