Nursery have waited patiently for 28 days… and finally our eggs have hatched!
We had lots of fantastic ideas about what might hatch out of them, including dinosaurs, penguins, snakes and spiders!
We were very excited when we began to see cracks in the eggs, and tiny beaks began to appear! We were thrilled when 3 healthy ducklings hatched out of the eggs! They stayed at Nursery for 5 days, and we had important jobs to do such as making sure they had enough food and water. We named the ducks Rosie, Fluffy and Stretchy!
They have now gone back to Surrey Docks Farm, so be sure to look out for them if you visit in the summer holidays!
