Autumn 2, Week 8 – We Wish You A Merry Christmas!

It has been another busy week in Nursery. Not only have we been making and writing Christmas cards and decorating calendars for next year but we have also enjoyed Christmas Jumper Day, watching the Pantomime and also enjoyed our class party! We were surprised however that during our Party we found out that someone had snuck into our classroom! Luckily Mr Scott saw them and was able to describe them to us – he said he was a big man, with a red coat, and a red hat and black boots! We thought it must have been Santa – and we were right – he left snowy magical footprints and also he left some lovely presents for us!

Here are some photos of our busy week!

Over the Holidays
If you would like to continue learning over the holidays here are some ideas. Don’t forget if your child does something that ‘WOW’s you, please pop it on a wow sticker or put it on Evidence Me.

Practice name writing as often as possible! You can create name writing practice worksheets (if you have access to a printer) here. If you don’t have access to a printer, pencils, markers, crayons and paper do the same thing!

Read everything you can find! Shop names, bus numbers, street signs, books and more! You can have a look at our phonics page for ideas on how to support phonics and reading further at home.

Here are some Maths ideas that you might like to try as well.

We wish all of the Nursery families a very Happy Christmas and a safe New Year. We will see you in 2020!

Next half term: We will be looking at the changes in weather and start to think about real life superheroes – people who help us!
