Stars of the Week: Ray and Coco-Eve
Welcome back to the Spring Term! Our new topic for this half term is ‘People Who Help Us’. Nursery have really enjoyed our role play area this week which has been transformed into a Fire Station!
Well done to all children for a smooth return to school, it’s lovely to have you all back!

Well done on a great Autumn term Nursery! You have all worked so hard and have settled so well into Cathedral School. Here are some photos from the last week of school, including our Christmas party and Christmas lunch!

Stars of the Week: Maeve and Nia
Well done to our stars of the week for trying so hard with your learning and singing so well in our Nativity.
Nursery have had a busy week with lots of Christmas fun! Children took part in the EYFS Nativity on Wednesday, followed by stay and play, then our Christmas party in the afternoon. Well done for all your hard work and singing this week Nursery. We took lots of photos, especially in our Christmas jumpers! Here are a couple and more will follow next week.
Stars of the Week: Jonah and Theodora
Well done to all of Nursery for participating so well in our Carol service at the Cathedral. All of you sang so beautifully and remembered all the actions! We will be doing lots of practicing next week for our Nativity and will be enjoying lots of Christmas themed craft in class!

Stars of the Week: Coco-Eve and Caleb
Nursery have had a busy week with lots going on! Children have started rehearsing their song for the Christmas Service at the Cathedral, plus Nursery have been learning the songs for the EYFS Nativity.
Children also looked at ‘Joy’ this week in RE and we spoke about how this is our Fruit of Friendship with God for this half term. As a class, we discussed what feeling joyful means and things/people that bring us joy.
Stars of the week: Willow and Arlo
Nursery had a lovely time last Friday celebrating Spanish Day. Children also enjoyed listening to some stories in Spanish and learning Flamenco dancing!
Children have been working very hard on their reading, writing and maths this week as we have had assessments. Well done for all trying your best Nursery!
Stars of the Week: Ishan and Ray
Nursery have completed some wonderful Art recently in class. Last week, children created their own firework pictures as we were learning all about Bonfire Night! Take a look at our lovely work below, which is also on display in our classroom!
Stars of the week: Ishan and Jonah
Nursery have had a great return to school after the half term break. This week, the class learnt about the religious festival of Diwali. Children explored how Diwali is celebrated by different families and then thought about celebrations that they have with their own families, such a birthdays, Christmas and Easter.
Stars of the Week: Theodora and Willow
We are enjoying the season of Autumn in Nursery! This week, we went on a walk and looked for signs of Autumn! We found lots of leaves and collected them, then later children completed their own leaf rubbing pictures in class! Well done to all on a great first half term in Nursery, have a lovely break!
Stars of the Week: Raheem and Maeve
Nursery have had a busy week of learning! In Maths we have been looking at counting with 1:1 correspondence and in English we looked at the story The Leaf Man and thought about different settings. Children have also enjoyed using the equipment outside and exploring different activities in the outdoor area.
