Stars of the Week: All of Reception
Well done to all of Reception this week for an amazing performance of the Nativity. You all sang beautifully, said your lines clearly and made all of your teachers very proud! We think that your parents enjoyed the show too!! Well done!
This week in Reception we have been enjoying the festive season!
EYFS Christmas Party
On Monday we had our party in the hall with Nursery! We loved dancing to the music, and enjoyed playing games like musical bumps and pass the parcel.
This week we enjoyed some Christmas Crafts. We decorated baubles and made some Christmas Stars.
Christmas Jumper Day
Here are pictures of us wearing our fabulous, festive jumpers.
Also on Wednesday we had a special lunch in the hall! We pulled crackers and ate a delicious Christmas dinner!
On Wednesday we performed our Nativity for our families!
A video of the Nativity can be seen here.
Here are photos of the performance. We hope that you enjoyed the performance! Thank you to all who came!
Over the holidays: We have sent home the tricky words that we have been learning this half term. It would be great if you could practise reading these. They are words that are tricky as they may not be decodable, or we are yet to learn the digraph/adjacent consonants in them.
Next term: We will focus on applying our phonics to our writing as well as start to develop our sentence writing. Our topic for the half term is “Terrific Tales” – looking at traditional tales and stories.
We hope that you all have a very safe and Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in 2022!
