Stars of the Week: Gabriel & Maleeha
This week we have been looking back at all of our phonics learning this year. Maleeha and Gabriel are both reading superstars! They have learnt so many of the sounds and are segmenting and blending to read words like ‘sat’, ‘man’ and ‘hug’! Keep up the fantastic work!
This week we have learned about Bonfire Night. We painted beautiful fireworks pictures, thinking about the sounds that fireworks make as the explode – Bang! Sizzle! Woosh!

This week we also thought about how we celebrate our birthdays! We drew pictures and spoke about the kinds of things we have had at our own or other’s birthdays.

Next Week: Our PE day is now Monday. In Phonics we will be learning the sounds ff, ll, ss and j. We will continue to write lists of things we can find in the city, and think about where we live – London! In Maths we will look at collections of 1, 2 and 3. We will be thinking about Remembrance Day.
