On Thursday we were lucky enough to receive a visit from the Right Honourable David Blunkett MP and his guide dog Cosby. The visit came about because one of our Key Stage 2 pupils was writing an independent project on Braille; as part of her research she wrote to Mr Blunkett and he responded, accepting her invitation to visit Cathedral School. All of the children enjoyed meeting Mr Blunkett and Cosby during a
special assembly. He was a very engaging speaker and entertained us with stories about his experiences as a teacher, his political career and how one of his guide dogs used to enjoy stealing ice-creams from people on the bus!
