  •  I saw the queen in a different perspective on Thursday because I am in the Choir at Southwark Cathedral. Whilst everyone was outside I was inside waiting for Her Majesty to come; for the choir (including the girls and mens choir) were going to sing some songs for her. As she walked to the font I gasped at how immaculate she looked with a purple hat and coat and shiny shoes.I couldn’t believe the Queen was only down the aisle from where I was standing in the stalls. Everyone sang the National Anthem as the Queen walked down the aise . She stopped to hear us sing ‘Vast ocean of light’ made for the Diamond Jubilee. As the song ended she walked on to see her Diamond Jubilee window, which is an array of jewel like colours. When she had finished looking at her window she started to exit as we sang ‘The Lord bless you and keep you’.

What a fantastic day. I feel so privileged!
