Spring 2 – Week 4

Stars of the week: Bernice & Courtney

Class 5 have had such a brilliant week doing BIKEABILITY. The instructors were blown away by how polite, respectful, eager and hard-working the class were. Well done Class 5! You should all be so proud of the progress you made; whether it was building your confidence with turns and signalling, getting out onto the road or learning about brakes and gears – you were absolute stars.

As well as Bikeability this week, we perfected the written method for multiplication and division. The class also worked in groups to create Biome presentations – each group will share them with the class next week.

This was a very fun experience, I learnt many things for example I learnt how to ride on a bike without one hand. we learnt about gears and the ABC check. Paul and Virginia were so nice and kind, even thought it was raining sometimes we still had fun.

I enjoyed bikeability because it was great weather for cycling. It was a great chance to get outside. When we focused on priority I found it very confusing. My rating is 4.5 stars.

We all loved working and cycling with Paul and Virginya. At the last day of cycling, we had to ride on the road, it was very fun to do. We learnt about the ABCD check. Air, Brackes, cogs, and dangly bits.

I didn’t want to start Bike Ability. But when Paul showed me the ropes I didn’t want to stop! I’m overjoyed I know how to ride now.
