Summer 1 – Week 2

Stars of the week: Remy & Aya-Grace

Class 5 have been busy this week learning about decimals, fractions and percentages in maths. They have been converting between the three and solving problems related to them.

In Science, Class 5 planned and discussed investigations that they wanted to carry out. They worked incredible well as scientist to think of their patter-spotting question and the method they would need to investigate it.

In PE, Class 5 performed their hip-hop dances. Zoe and I were blown away by their team work, co-ordination and enthusiasm. Here are some screen shots of their performances:

Me and the rest of our class split into groups to choreograph a dance. We had a few weeks to create our dance and I am very proud of the group I was in because we were not doing very good but we pulled through at the end.

Me and my group had a lot of fun taking in ideas for the dance and working as team. I enjoyed dancing in front of the whole class and listening to the music. I have learnt that doing anything as a team is more easier and more fun.

I loved the P.E lesson that we did I think it was the best one so far! The way my group shared our ideas was great and after that we made a really great dance after all and everyone enjoyed it! I really liked it! Our group did very very good.

I enjoyed working as a team to make up a routine and then perform it. Christina was a great team leader. Congratulations to every team! They all did really well

We all had lots of fun performing our hip-hop dances to the class.
Even though it was a bit nerve-wracking and embarrassing but we soon found out it wasn’t that bad. We learnt new dance moves and grew better confidence. We practiced at the start and learned our moves.
    It was so fun!

What a fun week this has been! I enjoyed working in a group doing some hip hop and groovy dances. I am excited to carry out the science investigation and find out who has better handwriting boys or girls! Lets find out!
