This week Reception Class have been practising telling the time. I was so impressed with how quickly you were able to make o’clock times on your clockfaces yesterday. Some of you were even able to make half-past times. Superb!
Stars of the week: Ted and Abigail
We have had a busy week in Reception with performing our Collective Worship and our Sports Stay and Play. As this week is Sports Week, in English Reception wrote some advice to Nursery, telling them how PE will work next year and giving them some helpful advice. Well done to everyone on a brilliant week!

Stars of the Week: All of Reception
Well done to everyone in Reception for having a great week and a fantastic trip today to the Sea Life Aquarium. All children behaved so sensibly and had an excellent time seeing all the different under water animals. We saw sharks, clownfish, jellyfish, turtles, penguins and many more! You all did a brilliant job walking round the aquarium, well done!

Well done to all of Reception who have had a fantastic week doing assessments. All the children have worked so hard and have produced some excellent work in their writing, reading and maths assessments. Well done!

Reception have worked hard this week and are really enjoying our new Understanding of the World topic which is ‘Our Place in Space’. This week we have learnt lots of information about planets and the solar system and children have produced some lovely pieces of work. Please enjoy our photographs below!

This week Reception have been working very hard on their writing. Children are trying hard to structure their sentences with capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. We are also working very hard on our letter formation! Take a look at some wonderful writing below.
Reception have really enjoyed learning some different poems this week. Children learnt about rhyming words and we read lots of short poems as a class. Reception had a wonderful poetry performance from the Poet Neal Zetter on Friday as he visited the school, please take a look at our photos below.
