Amazing Art Projects

Wow! Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 have produced some amazing Art projects over the course of this Spring term, and I was thoroughly impressed by all of the effort that they put into creating them.

Here are a few photos to give you a flavour of the quality of work that they produced. Well done each and every one of you – I am so impressed! And a big thank-you to the parents as well, for your continued support that enables the children to do their projects so well, and to such a high standard.

British Science Week

This week Year 5 have been celebrating British Science Week.

We began by having a visit from Professor Whizz Kid who shared with us his Scientific knowledge, and his unusual way to high five!

Then we had a visit from Marta, who showed us a computer game which she had created to help solve problems inside people’s hearts. This was fascinating to learn about, and all of the children in Year 5 had a lot of questions about this!

Thank you so much Marta for giving up your time to come in to talk to us – we really appreciated this!

Next on our Science week schedule, we were learning about the life-cycle of a plant. We had to look very carefully in order to identify the different sections of the flowers.

Then, we had to think like Scientists as we tried to guess what was in the boxes, relying on only our knowledge of materials. Afterwards, we wrote our own descriptions of mystery objects and then read them out loud for other children to guess. If you would like to read them, they will be on our Science board displays.

Have a lovely weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all again on Monday.
