Year 5 stars of the week: Alfie and Glennis
On Tuesday, Year 5 visited Pizza Express where we made delicious margarita pizzas.
We began by preparing our dough base. We had to flatten out the mixture, and ensure that it had very little flour left on it. We found out that flipping the pizza was the best way to get rid of the flour!
After this, we added the special tomato sauce and some delicious cheese before it went into the oven.

My favourite part was when we practice making our dough because it was interesting learning how a pizza base is made. I really enjoyed putting the topping on the pizza.
I really enjoyed making the pizzas, my favourite part was when we stretched out the dough, and we could then flip them. We got to throw them in the air and catch them again, like professional chefs, except we didn’t look quite so professional!:)
I loved making that pizza, I was even taught by professionals! 🙂
I loved baking the pizza because I could smell that puffy dough slithering across the table, and the perfect mozzarella cheese that everybody (in class 5) placed into their pizza. I loved putting the herb oregano into my classic pizza!!!
i really liked the trip to Pizza Express because we got to make our own pizzas. all the chefs were really nice to us and very helpful. my favourite part of the trip was when we were rolling the dough with our hands because it was challenging but very fun. i would recommend Pizza Express to anyone because the pizzas are really nice and it is a wonderful experience. although i don’t like pizza, these margarita ones were absolutely delicious! thank you Pizza Express and hope to see you again!
My favourite part was flipping the pizza.I got some flour on my apron!!
I enjoyed making the circles with the dough, also eating the pizza I made for lunch.

My favourite part of the trip was when we were putting on the tomato sauce and the cheese. I liked making the pizza because I haven’t made one for a very long time. I would love to go on that trip again because it was so much fun making the pizza. My pizza was delicious.

I liked when we stretched out the dough because it felt really squidgy and I enjoyed squeezing it.
I loved eating my pizza as I didn’t put on too much mozzarella.
Making the pizza was harder than I had imagined especially spreading the tomato sauce!

I really enjoyed spreading the cheese and the tomato sauce onto my pizza. Some people used a spoon to spread the tomato sauce onto the dough, but I was very brave and shook it. When we were told to to throw our pizzas up into the air, I was really scared that I was going to drop it. I did drop it but luckily, it didn’t land on the floor. I caught it before it hit the floor. However some of the flour go on my shoes but it was ok. It was so much fun!
My favourite part was when we spread on the tomato sauce because it was fun shaking the
tomato sauce into shape.
I really enjoyed making pizza ant pizza express even though I don’t like pizza I really enjoyed making it even though I diddent eat it. I’ve never try pizza before but I recommend if you haven’t tried pizza yet then I really recommend trying it. if you want to know what we used some us even brought toppings to school so when we ate it at lunch we could bring are topping’s in and place them on our pizzas. here’s a short list of what we used to make the pizzas. we used tomato sauce cheese and we also used flower OFC COURSE some of us used something that you sprinkle on your pizzas and I guess you know what we did next also don’t forget to WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE DOUGH.
I really enjoyed this trip and would love to go again,also my favourite part of the trip was when everyone in the class had a go at spinning their pizza.
I really enjoyed it because the pizzas were very delicious and tasted good and my mum and dad liked it very much 🙂
This trip was the best!!! everybody loved it i also did. I loved making the pizza it was so yummy.
we had Margarita pizza, my favorite! I really want to thank the chefs again because they taught us a lot about pizza which was the best!
It was really fun and exciting,my favourite part was putting the cheese on because everyone went a bit crazy with it and put loads on.
my favourite part of the trip was when i put an over-load of cheese on my pizza dough.
today was very fun but weird at the same time because i had a basal on mine and i didn’t put origama on my pizza
