George’s Marvellous Medicine

George's MM

Our class text this term is George’s Marvellous Medicine. We have already started to read the first part of the story and we are all very excited to learn more about the characters and plot. Lots of our writing this term will be inspired by this book.

We will also be learning more about Roald Dahl and his other stories. Throughout September, to remember Roald Dahl’s birthday, there are lots of activities to get involved with on his website. Here is the link to find out more.

Please leave a comment, thinking about the following questions:

What ingredients would you put in your own Marvellous Medicine?

What other Roald Dahl stories do you know?

Can you use some adjectives to describe Grandma?

Suriya, describing Grandma, said: “grandma is really ugly. She is slimy and eats slugs.” And her own marvellous medicine would contain ‘smelly socks, soap, tea, a hairy toe and a little magic.’

Wow Year 1, we have been writing about George’s marvellous medicine if we read it for our Roald Dahl homework.
    What was your favourite part?
    Did you enjoy it?
    I know I did
