Class 1’s trip to Surrey Docks Farm

Class 1 had a fantastic trip to Surrey Docks Farm on Friday. We were able to stroke and feed many animals including ducks, goats, rabbits, lambs and chickens! We were given careful instructions about how to feed the goats, we had to hold our hands out flat with food in it for the goats to eat. They jumped up quickly and gobbled it up! It was great that children were so confident when feeding the animals and it was lovely that class 1 were able to find out so many different and interesting facts!

Did you know a female chicken is called a hen?

Did you know that a baby goat is called a kid?

Did you know that ferrets have very sharp teeth like fangs!?

Take a look at some pictures from our trip to the farm below, enjoy!
