Autumn 2 Week 5

Stars of the week: Isabelle and Harry

We have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes this week in maths. Class 1 have worked so hard on learning all the names of shapes and talking about their properties. Children learnt how to sort shapes in different ways, such as by number of sides, colour or 2D/3D. Well done on working hard this week Class 1.

Autumn 2, Week 3

Stars of the week: Ted and Esther

This week for our science investigation, we used a thermometer to measure the temperature outside. Children made predictions then we discussed  how a thermometer works. We went outside and watched the temperature drop to 13 degrees! Children really enjoyed this science lesson and produced some great work.

Spanish Day!

Class 1 had a fantastic Spanish Day! Children enjoyed a range of activities, including flamenco dancing, learning Spanish numbers, having a Spanish lunch and making maracas in the afternoon. It was a jam packed day which was made even more exciting with children dressed in their Spanish colours and costumes. Enjoy our photos below!

Autumn 2 Week 2- Signs of Autumn

Stars of the Week: Harry and Astrid

This week Class 1 went on an Autumn walk around the playground. We were looking for signs of Autumn and we found lots! Children discussed the changing colours of the trees and leaves, conkers on the floor and the changes in the weather. We brought some leaves back in and completed some leaf rubbings!

Collective Worship Lyrics

Please practise singing our Collective Worship song below. It is to the tune of Frere Jacques.

Leaves are falling,

Leaves are falling,

On the ground, on the ground

Can you hear them crunching?

Can you hear them crunching?

On the ground, on the ground.

Winters coming,

Winters coming,

Wrap up warm, wrap up warm,

Get your scarf and hat on, get your scarf and hat on

Wrap up warm, wrap up warm.

Leaves are falling,

Leaves are falling,

On the ground, on the ground

Can you hear them crunching?

Can you hear them crunching?

On the ground, on the ground.
