Stars of the Week: Ari and Astrid

We have had a lovely start to our half term this week, it feels like Spring is in the air! Class 2 used their skills to programme beebots to travel round an obstacle course. We have started our new maths topic of shape and enjoyed going on a 3D shape hunt around our classroom, as well as finding out the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. We can’t wait for all the new, exciting things we are going to learn this half term!

Stars of the Week: Jasper and Nathan L

What a wonderful term we have had in Class 2. The children have learnt so much and worked hard each and every day. All the adults are very proud of you, Class 2. Please enjoy these photos of us in the winter wonderland that we arrived to on Monday morning. This really got us all in the Christmas spirit!

This week Class 2 went to the Science Museum to look at some exhibitions in relation to our Materials topic in Science. We looked at some examples of everyday items and how the materials they are made with have changed over time. There were so many fascinating things to look at! Stars of the Week: Esther and Teddy

This week we have been busy practising for our Collective Worship which we are presenting on Tuesday 22nd November. We have been working on making sure we use expression in our voices and that we speak loudly and clearly. We are very excited to show everyone what we have learnt so far in Class 2. During music we have enjoyed practicing our songs and hymns, ready to perform next week.

Stars of the Week: Leo and Mila

We’ve had another fulfilling week in Class 2. This week in Geography we identified map symbols in our places and location topic. We enjoyed matching the map symbol to its meaning and drawing our own symbols. We discussed that map symbols are used to help people locate commonly used places when they are using a map. Stars of the Week: Xanthe and Ben

Year 2 have come back to school refreshed and ready for a busy and exciting few weeks. In PE this half term we will be working with the gymnastics coach. We really enjoyed demonstrating our new skills this week and are looking forward to developing these further!
