Stars of the Week: Theo and Freddie
This week in English, we have continued reading The Wind in the Willows. We read the chapter where Toad steals a motor car and gets sent to jail for 20 years. We then predicted what we thought would happen next and we wrote our own chapter. We first made a storyboard planning the chapter, which we used to write our four paragraphs. We focused on using fronted adverbials in our first two paragraphs, by starting our sentences with adverbs such as sadly, suddenly, happily, as quick as a flash etc. For our second two paragraphs, we focused on using speech and punctuating speech correctly. I was really impressed with their writing, well done Class 3!
