Autumn 1 Week 6 – PE

Stars of the Week: Jacob W and Evelyn

This week in Class 3, we have continued practicing our netball skills in PE. In partners we take it in turns to follow each other running and try to turn corners and change direction as quick as we can. We have also been practising our chest pass, bounce pass and overhead passes.

Autumn 1 Week 5 – Art

Stars of the Week: Yoki and Albert.

This week in Art, Class 3 ventured into the playground to draw sketches of the buildings that we could see. We drew multiple sketches in our Art book, focusing on the lines and textures of the buildings around our school. We then drew these up neater to stick onto our ‘starry night’ background.

Next week in Maths, we are moving onto addition and subtraction!

Autumn 1 Week 4 – Computing

Stars of the Week: Betty and Gerard

This week in Class 3, we had a very exciting Computing lesson. We first painted a picture using paint and a paintbrush. We then used the paint function on laptops and tried to recreate our real life paintings online. In partners we then compared the two types of painting, focusing on the pros and cons of each method. Please see photos below of our work!

Next week, we are looking at rhyming in English and partitioning in Maths.

Autumn 1 Week 3 – English

Stars of the Week: Kayden and Ruby.

This week in Class 3 we channeled our inner “sarcastic” selves and put on performances to showcase to the whole class. We recreated a part of our book ‘Oliver and the Seawigs’ (which we are all loving) and acted out the parts of Oliver, Iris and the sarcastic seaweed. We had no idea that our lovely Class 3 could be so sarcastic! There were star performances from all pupils and we cannot wait to see them in their next performances in the West End.

Please see below their brilliant work:

Next week in Maths we are learning how to order numbers.

Autumn 1 Week 2 – Science

Stars of the Week: Ava and Lennon.

This week in Science, Class 3 have developed their understanding of a balanced diet. We have identified all of the food groups and discussed how much of each food group you should eat, in relation to the ‘Eat Well’ plate. We then thought about the meals that we enjoy eating and which food groups they belong to. As part of this lesson, we drew out our meals onto plates and identified each food group.
This task links to their homework of logging a food diary which is due in on Tuesday 20th September.
Next week in Maths in Class 3, we are learning how to find 1, 10 or 100 more or less than a specific number.

Autumn 1 Week 1 – PSHE

Stars of the Week: Noah and Joshua

We have had such a wonderful first week back at school in Class 3!
This week, Class 3 have been learning about healthy eating and snacks in PSHE, and different food groups in Science. In our PSHE lesson, we discussed the choices we make when choosing snacks and what our favourite snacks are. We then worked as a group to present our thoughts on this topic.
We hope you enjoy reading about our favourite snacks!
