The best Roald Dahl story for me is, without doubt, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I love both films, but most of all I love the book. I mean who wouldn’t want to be a child who got to run their own chocolate factory? The concept is such an engaging one. I always smile when I think about this story.

Oooh it’s a tough choice between The Witches and The BFG. I will have to have think. I love the gentleness of The BFG and the idea that he gives out good dreams to all the children… but The Witches is so terribly scary it’s hard to choose! Can I say both?

Well done Year 5 on a strong start to the school year. What a tricky question….I think my favourite Roald Dahl book is The BFG because it is frightening and heart warming at the same time. I also like Rhyme Stew because the poems are lots of fun to read aloud!

I really enjoyed Roahl Dahl Day. Thank you Mr Antcliffe. I would choose Matilda because he writes so much description in that story. I really enjoyed the lesson. Can we do it again?
