Homework – what works for you at home?

We are going to be making some changes to the way that we set homework over the course of this academic year. We want to make homework more challenging, more fun, more interactive, more investigative – all in an attempt to help you to learn more.

This is your chance to be part of the process of changing homework at Cathedral school. What types of homework do you enjoy the most? Which bits of homework help you to learn the most? Do you enjoy working independently or with friends and family members? Are there any types of homework that you don’t like and that you don’t think help you to learn?

Let us know in the comments section below and you can help to create the sort of homework that you want to be set by your teacher.

I think home work that involves a popular topic is good as well as easier homework because we work all day at school so why need extra work?!

I think homework should not take too long
I like creative homework, and think that homework which makes me look for facts on a topic helps me learn more about it
I don’t like it when we get homework sheets with lots of maths questions listed, i prefer it when we are asked to go on mathletics as it is more interactive and fun
I like doing project homework where we are given the freedom to choose something we are interested in and research it.

I would like Creative Homework and more
Project Homework where we research what we fill intrested with. I like colouring in and not having lots of questions that we cant really do but I would prefer websites we can look at when we do our Lessons. I agree with Lola and Faber.

I like very creative homework that works your brain. Maybe try not to give people such complecated maths work as when people can’t do it it defeats their confidence.

Hi Mr Antcliffe what works for me at home will be having more art work and having our work set over 1or 2 days and also having more projects. Also having more homework that we want to do.
    eg. MATHLETICS
