Year 5 stars of the week: Suriya and Prushottaman
Over this half term Year 5 have been writing their own playscripts, making sure to include stage directions, scene changes and dialogue to move the action along. Yesterday, we performed them to the rest of the class.
Please enjoy watching our finished performances. Comment below and let us know what you think!
The Battle of the Gods
St George and the Dragon (with a twist!)
The Beauty Contest
The Boys and the Beast
The Tale of Two Pharaohs
It was a very good and fun thing and we all worked as a team
I liked the battle of the gods because they lots of energy into it and they backs were never facing the audiance
I really enjoyed writing those scripts. It was hard work, but it all payed off. I loved acting our scripts out and it was a wonderful opportunity to show my acting skills.
Everybody in Class 5 did fantastic!!
I enjoyed the entertaining plays that everyone made, I was excited when we were performing a battle scene in front of the class. BRAVO Everyone!
I really enjoyed playing Princess Sandra in the play, I am very proud of myself and my friends. My confidence has grown lots a swell. Performing the play and practicing for the play was so fun. I enjoyed being creative with the story that we twisted.
It’s amazing how talented the rest of Yr5 are and how well they can act! I really enjoyed writing a script and acting too. I enjoyed watching all of the plays. I can’t believe they wereb writen by the children! Everyone was great.
Well Done:)
Well done everyone, you all did a good job.
I really enjoyed doing our playscripts. It was probably the best English lesson in Year5.
I enjoyed writing our scripts, performing them, gathering props and all of the other amazing things!
Well done Year 5 all of your plays lots of enthusiasm and you portrayed your characters perfectly.

I liked all of the expression used in the play especially when Emmanuel was doing his beast acting, I liked Ruby’s crying scene and I think everyone did their best and remembered all their lines. I would like to say to everyone good job and keep up the good work .
I really enjoyed planning, writing and performing our plays!!! I had a wonderful time doing it. I really liked the battle of the gods play because they spoke loudly and they used most of the stage and their staging was good.
All of Class 5’s plays were well scripted, made sense and they acted it out with all the correct emotions needed to express the character’s emotions to the fullest. I think all of Class 5 did an incredible job, but I’d like to give a special well done to the play “The Boys and the Beast” as every character had correct staging at all times, expressed their lines to the fullest and they all tried their best. Once again, everyone pulled off a top-notch performance which was an incredible sighting. I’d also like to thank Miss Henderson for setting this up and to Nuala (whilst she was here)
I really enjoyed practising and performing our plays. My group had fun thinking of ideas for them. I think we did very well! 🙂
I really enjoyed practicing the play and had lots of fun. I’d say this was one of the best English lesson I’ve had
It was very fun to do the play. I really enjoy how we could make our own props like a beast mask.
All I had to do is ROAR! It was very fun acting swords fights aswell.
I really enjoyed playing Marik it was so much fun. Joel and I wrote scene 2 the battle scene and it was much harder than realised as I had to keep changing the script as it was too much fighting and no story. I think it turned out really well. I watched it with my mum and she it was really good and thought we all did a really good job.
I really enjoyed James’ story it was funny but also told a lesson!
I enjoyed watching all the plays in class 5 they spoke confidently in a loud voice and acted very well and also learned all of there lines.
I enjoyed doing our plays and watching them. I thought they were all very good. I really Whitney’s group because I liked the idea of doing it about St George and the dragon but then George has a brother. I liked Teddy’s group because they also included things about the Egyptian times and i thought that was really smart. I liked Fatimah’s group because I thought it was a really cool idea to add part f the tales of the trojan war and put that into there play. I really liked James’ group because I thought it was a really cool idea to do it about 2 brothers but they are really competitive and then at the end the work together.
Wow Guys! Congratulations to the whole of year 5 for your excellent shows! I can see each and everyone of you have worked hard on your lines, to deliver such wonderful performances. Well done.
I really enjoyed everyone’s performance because they all put full effort into it and performed with enthusiasm. Different groups included funny parts which I like and everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun.
