Stars of the Week: Alpha and Amine
This week, Class 5 have focused on two different number systems other than the Arabic number system we use today! We looked at Roman Numerals in maths, where we used a song to help us remember the different letters and ways to make numbers. In History, we looked at the Maya number system which was very confusing! Class 5 worked really hard to understand it and were impressed that the Maya had a concept for zero whereas the Roman’s hadn’t even thought about it.
