Welcome back to a fresh term and a fresh year at Cathedral School. As well as getting used to all our new responsibilities around the school, Class 6 will also be leading the Cathedral Service which will take place on Friday 26th September, at 9.30. We have been busy writing the service, and we also have to choose the hymns!
Which hymns do you think would be relevant to this theme?
Which hymns do you enjoy singing the most?
There’s a song of exaltation
I am really excited to perform the service. I think that One more step should be considered for the hymns
Thank you Lord for this new day.
The hymn I would like is One more step
I would like to sing From heaven you came.
I would want to sing the hymn is From heaven you came.
I would really like to sing the hymns: Cross over the road or From heaven you came because both of them are really nice.
I would like ‘Who put the colours in the rainbow’ or ‘Shine Jesus shine’!
For the Cathedral Service, please could we do:
Cross over the road,
Big man standing,
Lord of the dance and
Seek ye first.
Thank you.
I would like this hymn to be chosen: Shine Jesus Shine.
I would like to sing Shine Jesus Shine.
For the service we could sing:
Cross over the road,
Seek ye first and
Shine on me
Another selection of hymns I thought will be good were:
Seek Ye First
Big Man Standing
Shine On Me
My best one would be From Heaven You Came.
Shine Jesus Shine, The Power of Your Love, All Things Bright and Beautiful, Water of Life
I think then service went very well!
This was my first time having communion in the Southwark Cathedral, so I would like to say some things about it; I thought it was very peaceful, almost like a private service, and I think it was well organised and friendly. Thank you!
I liked your service. It was amazing!
Wow !!!!!!!!
