World Book Day

We had a great day today, with Class 6 providing some of the most imaginative costumes in the school. We also spent time with Year 2, listening to them read and practicing the questioning skills which we use when we read independently.

Who do you think had the best costume?

How did you decide who to come as?

What was the best part of World Book Day?

What questions do you ask yourself when you are reading?

Who do you think had the best costume?
I liked Tianna’s – it was really creative.
I also liked Mimi and Eleanor’s costumes and the way they worked as a team.
Aisa’s was almost identical to the character.
Nancy’s was funny and cool at the same time.
How did you decide who to come as?
I liked Tullia’s because it’s based on a book we have been reading.
I liked Kiran’s because of the similarity to the character.
Lola’s was great because it looked really funny and realistic.
    And I loved everyone’s who I haven’t yet mentioned.
What was the best part of World Book Day?
Asking people what they were and doing the activities that we only get to do once a year!
What questions do you ask yourself when you are reading?
    Does {name} like {name}?
Who are the bad people and who are the good people?

I really liked dressing up in our costumes, it shows the creativity. You do a lot of fun activities in school and you even win prizes, it’s one of the best events that happen in the school.
