Poetry!

This week we have put up our new displays in the school corridors. We are particularly excited to share our poems about the sea.

We read a variety of poems about the sea, looking particularly at the features of each poem. Then, we began writing poems and experimenting with different styles. We particularly enjoyed using metaphors. A metaphor is when you describe something by writing about something that is similar. For our poems we used animals to describe different features of the sea.

We hope you like them!
